LinkedIn to set up Canadian head office in Toronto

TORONTO, Ont. – LinkedIn, the career-oriented social media site, now has more than two-million Canadian members, which is a major milestone for one of the world’s largest online professional networks.
The company said Canada is one of its fastest growing markets.
The company plans to establish its Canadian head office in Toronto and hire a Canadian country manager to handle growth in Canada.
LinkedIn has more than 60-million members in 200 countries and executives from every Fortune 500 company.
Many of the companies also use the online service to hire and retain top talent in Canada.
