Outrage in Langley neighbourhood over release of convicted sex offender

By

LANGLEY (NEWS1130) – People living in a Langley residential neighbourhood are outraged about the release of a convicted child sexual offender, right back into the home where he committed his crime.  They want Marco Balducci out of their neighbourhood, and are prepared to spread the word.

One of Balducci’s neighbours is one of his victims.  Ken Nymark, a friend of the girl’s family, was in court yesterday when the judge told Balducci that he could go home.  “What really upset me the most I think, was the fact that the judge didn’t once mention the victims.  It was all to do with the Balducci’s and how they are going to get on, and how he can rehabilitate.”

Nymark says neighbours are thinking about putting up posters about Balducci on the streets around 216th Street and 48th Avenue. Balducci pleaded guilty in 2008 on two counts of invitation to sexual touching, involving girls 10 and 11 years old.
