Abbotsford Heat head to Game 7

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – In desperation mode, the Abbotsford Heat kept their first ever AHL playoff series alive, forcing a game seven, with a 5-1 win over the Rochester Americans.

Jon Rheault had a hat-trick. David Van der Gulik and Jason Jaffrey also scored for Abbotsford, who find themselves tied at three, after being down three games to one, at one point. David Shantz turned aside 22 of 23 shots to pick up the victory.

Rheault, who had six goals in 44 regular-season games, has five goals and six points in the playoffs.

Game seven goes Tuesday afternoon, from upstate New York
