Wonderful time-wasters on the web

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – There’s no better way to lose a few, needless hours than on the Internet. This is web reporter Erin Loxam’s weekly look at ridiculous websites bound to waste away days.
Last weekend I discovered 11points.com and didn’t see the light of day for the next 48 hours. It is made up of top 11 lists. Some of my favourites? Eleven foods starting with the letter Q, the eleven most successful gingers in sports and the worst Japanese-to-English translations in Nintendo history.
A longer list is 1000 Awesome Things. It is counting down from 1000 and currently just about halfway at 490 with “Driving around with the windows down on late summer nights”. (Author’s Note: That is totally awesome.)
Other goodies? When that zit growing on your forehead suddenly just disappears and cutting your sandwiches in triangles.
It’s also a book, and the author will be making Canadian stops at Chapter stores in the upcoming weeks, including here in Vancouver on June 12th.
