VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – A steady increase in tanker traffic in Burrard Inlet will be the focus of a special council meeting being chaired by the Mayor of Vancouver this afternoon.
Gregor Robertson is especially concerned, given the devastation caused by the leaking oil well in the Gulf of Mexico.
Council will hear from a number of experts — including an oceanographer, members of the provincial Environment Ministry and representatives from the shipping industry.
