MAPLE RIDGE (NEWS1130) – The Stanley Cup is coming to Maple Ridge!  It will make a few appearances in B.C. this summer, but will spend Sunday July 18th at the Cam Neely Arena at Planet Ice with Andrew Ladd.

Each player on the winning Chicago Blackhawks squad gets to bring hockey’s biggest prize to their hometown for a day.  You’ll get a chance to meet Ladd and touch the Cup, just head to the arena between noon and 2 p.m.

Ladd began his career in Maple Ridge, before playing for the Coquitlam Express.  He was traded to the Atlanta Thrashers shortly after the Hawks won the Cup a few weeks ago.

The cup will also make stops in Tsawwassen with Brent Seabrook, Penticton with Duncan Keith, Surrey with Colin Fraser and in Vancouver with Troy Brouwer.
