Flag person dies after crash in Mission

MISSION (NEWS1130) – A flag person is dead after a crash in Mission this morning.

RCMP Sergeant Miriam Dickson says police were called to Highway 7 near Oliver Street just after 8 a.m. “A 49-year-old Langley man, working as a traffic control person just west of Oliver Street, was struck by an eastbound vehicle.  He was pronounced, unfortunately, deceased at the Abbotsford Regional Hospital.”

Dickson says it appears sun glare may have been responsible for the crash, and that speed was not a factor. Worksafe B.C. is also looking into the crash.
