MONCTON, N.B. – Codiac RCMP continue to look for whoever is responsible for an estimated $10,000 of damage to the new Moncton courthouse under construction on Assomption Boulevard.

RCMP say a window was broken, graffiti painted on walls, and paint and cabinets were thrown from the roof onto heavy machinery below.

The vandals struck sometime during the long New Brunswick Day holiday weekend.

It’s not known if the project’s completion date will be delayed because of the vandalism.

It was expected to be finished in the next few months.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact them at 857-2400, or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
