Family asks for public’s help to find missing hiker

SQUAMISH (NEWS1130) – The family and friends of a missing Vancouver hiker need your help.  They’re asking you to look over video taken from a search helicopter.

Tyler Wright was due back from a hiking trip near Squamish eight days ago, but there is still no sign of the 35-year-old.

Family friend Alan Bedingfield says they rented a helicopter to scour the area where Wright was last seen.  Bedingfield says Wright’s family and friends are asking the public to look it over in case anybody may have missed something.  “If somebody sees something, they can tell us the time… we can go back and we can locate that basically down to the exact spot that Tyler may be.”

Bedingfield explains a website has been set up for those looking to help.  Wright was last seen around 4:30 p.m. August 10th at the beginning of the Boise Creek Trail.
