Canucks kick-off pre-season

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – The Vancouver Canucks kick off their pre-season tonight with a pair of games – one in Calgary and the other at Rogers Arena.

Following a successful training camp, the Canucks roster has been split in half and will play a pair of games against the Flames.  However, the entire team won’t take part.  Roberto Luongo, the Sedin twins, Ryan Kesler, Mikael Samuelsson, Mason Raymond, Alex Edler, Christian Ehrhoff, and Dan Hamhuis have been given the night off.

If you’re going to the game at Rogers Arena, you will see the likes of Brendan Morrison, Raffi Torres, Manny Malhotra, Kevin Bieksa and Cory Schneider.

Keith Ballard will make his Canucks debut, in Calgary, playing alongside Darcy Hordichuk, Jannik Hansen and Jordan Schroeder.

Cody Hodgson won’t play, but he has been cleared for full-contact practices.  Game time in Vancouver is 7 p.m. and 6 p.m. in Calgary.
