Another pre-season loss for Canucks

EDMONTON (NEWS1130) – The Vancouver Canucks lost 8-2 to the Edmonton Oilers in pre-season action.

The Oilers came out flying, opening the scoring two minutes in, ending the first period with a 4-1 lead and scoring three more times in the third. Ryan Kesler and Manny Malhotra were the goal scorers for Vancouver. Cody Hodgson made his pre-season debut, playing on the top line with Ryan Kesler and Mason Raymond, and putting up almost 18 minutes of work. Cory Schneider was in net for the whole game for Vancouver. Edmonton’s Jordan Eberle had two goals and an assist in his team’s win.

Vancouver now drops to 1-4 in the pre-season as the team prepares for back-to back games against the San Jose Sharks on Tuesday and Wednesday.
