Canucks send Shirokov to the farm

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – It’s one last chance for players still on the bubble to show why they deserve a roster spot on the Canucks.

The team wraps up the pre-season, tonight, with a stop in Anaheim and a game with the Ducks.

One player who won’t be on the Canucks roster, opening night, October 9th against the Kings is Sergei Shirokov. The Winnipeg Sun is reporting Shirokov has been sent down to the farm and could dress for the Manitoba Moose, Saturday, when they play the Abbotsford Heat in AHL action.

The Canucks face the Ducks tonight at 7:00.
