Canada picks up second gold of Commonwealth Games

NEW DELHI, INDIA (NEWS1130) – Canada has picked up its second gold medal of the Commonwealth Games.

Montreal’s Marilou Dozois-Prevost finished first in weightlifting’s 53-kilogram class, lifting a total of 182 kilos – 82 in the snatch and 100 in the clean and jerk.

The 24-year-old won silver at the Games four years ago in Melbourne, Australia.  The gold brings Canada’s medal total to 5, along with another gold and three bronze.
