Wally Buono backs Travis Lulay

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – A day after a disappointing loss that saw the BC Lions blow a 21-point fourth quarter lead and lose 47-35 in overtime to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, Wally Buono is backing his number one quarterback.
Buono tells News1130 Travis Lulay was pulled from the game as a precautionary measure after an injury. “He did bang his hand and obviously there was some swelling that started to occur later on in the game and being up 31-11 we felt it was probably a safe bet.”
Coach Buono maintains Lulay is still the man. “I dont think there’s any question. Travis should be fine and he should be our starter on Saturday.”
