VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – A new phone has been released to make things easier for seniors in Canada.

Data Guy Mike says the “Doro” flip-phone features a large, easy-to-read keypad, and extra loud volume controls. “It’s aimed toward older crowds, or anybody for that matter who doesn’t really want full connectivity with email, browsing and texting.”

The phone has an emergency function that can send out alarm messages. It’s hearing aid compatible as well.

The gadget, which is available through Rogers Wireless, sells for around a hundred dollars, and plans start at $15.
