VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Roberto Luongo was the key in a 3-1 Vancouver win over the Calgary Flames at Rogers Arena. The Canucks number one goalie blocked 43 shots in the victory.

Ryan Kesler joined Daniel Sedin in the Canucks twenty goal club a minute and ten seconds into the game. Kevin Bieksa added his fifth late in the first.

Daniel Sedin potted his twenty second of the year and goal number ten thousand in team history mid-way through the second period. Bieksa notched his second point of the night on the goal. Alex Burrows finished with 2 assists.

Luongo is now 10-2-1 in his last thirteen starts versus the Flames at Rogers Arena. Also impressive, the former Canucks captain is 12-1-1 in his last fourteen starts in the blue crease. Calgary sniper Jarome Iginla has one assist in his last five games against Vancouver.

Vancouver now has a gaudy 12-0-2 record since their last regulation loss a month ago. That was December 5 against the Blues.
