Canucks get good news in Manitoba with the Moose

By

WINNIPEG, Manitoba (NEWS1130) – While the Canucks have been struggling of late, five losses in their last seven games, there is good news for the club when it comes to their farm team in Manitoba.

Former number one draft pick, 20 year old Cody Hodgson is getting closer to returning to the Moose lineup. Hodgson had been out of the lineup with chipped facial bones since December 9th. The target date to return is Wednesday in Hamilton, in the first of a three-game road trip before the AHL All-Star break.

Manitoba will also have Jordan Schroeder back in the lineup on tonight against the Abbotsford Heat. Schroeder, 20, is the Canucks’ first-rounder in 2009 (22nd overall), and has been out with a high ankle sprain since December 10th.

The Moose are currently tied for first place with Hamilton in the American Hockey League’s North Division with a 24-12-1-4 record.
