Abbotsford Heat play a rare morning game

SAN ANTONIO,TX (NEWS1130) – Here’s something you don’t see everyday. A hockey game being played mid-week during the morning.
Tomorrow morning at 10:30 a.m. CST the San Antonio Rampage of the AHL will face off with the Abbotsford Heat in a special kids day game at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas.
The matinee game known as “Cool School Education Day” will combine a Rampage student workbook and in-game elements to provide students support for TAKS (Texas Assessment of Knowledge & Skills) testing in an unforgettable way. More than 5,000 kids are expected to attend the hockey field trip.
Tomorrow’s game is the third out of five on this road trip for the Heat. Abbotsford split it’s first two games of the trip this past weekend in Manitoba versus the Moose.
