VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – The Canucks will try to extend their winning streak to five games when they play host to the Chicago Blackhawks tonight at Rogers Arena.

The teams are wrapping up their four-game series. Chicago leads 2-1, but Vancouver took the last meeting by winning 3-0 at the United Center on Dec. 3rd.

Chicago has a great record in Vancouver; they are 8-3 in their last 11 games at Rogers Arena, winning eight of the past nine contests. They carry a four-game winning streak in which they’ve scored 24 goals, and they also pasted the Canucks 7-1 in their last visit to town on November 20th.

While the Canucks sit atop the NHL standings with 75 points, the defending Stanley Cup champion Blackhawks are currently tied with the Flames and Kings for ninth place in the Western Conference, one point behind eighth place Phoenix and Minnesota.

Roberto Luongo gets the start in net for tonight’s game, which starts at 7 p.m.
