Hamhuis expected to return to Canucks blue-line

By

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – The Vancouver Canucks continue their home-stand tomorrow night against the Montreal Canadiens.  The good news is the Vancouver blue-line is getting healthier.

Defenceman Dan Hamhuis is expected to return against the Habs after missing five games following his third career concussion nearly two weeks ago against the Anaheim Ducks.

Meanwhile Keith Ballard, who suffered a knee strain February 7th in a game against the Ottawa Senators, could return Thursday against the St. Louis Blues.

Still on the injured list for the Canucks is Kevin Bieksa (hairline foot fracture) and Alex Edler (lower-back surgery).

One team that can identify with the Canucks injuries on the blue-line would be the Canadiens who have lost blue-liners Jaroslav Spacek, Hal Gill, Andrei Markov and Josh Gorges for lengthy periods this season.
