VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Chilliwack scored four unanswered goals to up-end the Vancouver Giants 6-4. The Giants had a pair of two goal leads in the contest, but were unable to hold off the surging Bruins.
Vancouver had a 2-0 lead early in the first and a 4-2 advantage in the second, before succumbing to the Bruin offence. WHL co-goal scoring leader Ryan Howse paced the visitors with a pair of goals and an assist. Brendan Gallagher countered with a goal and two helpers for the Giants.
Vancouver is now four points back of first place Kelowna in the BC division, but have a game in hand on the Rockets. Chilliwack is four points back of the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference.
Prior to the game, the Giants inducted former player Milan Lucic of the Boston Bruins into the ring of honour at the Pacific Coliseum.
