Canucks hope the road treats them better than home

LOS ANGELES, CA. (NEWS1130) – The Vancouver Canucks are in Los Angeles kicking-off a five game road trip after spending its last six games at home.  Vancouver is looking for its first win versus the Kings this season.

Los Angeles is in the midst of their own six-game homestand.  The Kings are 3-1-0 through four games during their homestand, and now find themselves in sixth place in the Western Conference with 76 points.

The Canucks have been sitting pretty atop the Western Conference standings for quite some time now, but a record of 5-5-0 over their last 10 games has the second place Detroit Red Wings just four points behind Vancouver for the conference lead.

LA has won both games versus the Canucks this season, outscoring Vancouver 6-2.

Canucks forward Ryan Kesler is looking to snap out of his goalless slump.  The NHL’s second leading goal scorer hasn’t scored in seven games and has one goal over his last 10 games.

Game time is 1 p.m.
