LOS ANGELES, CA (NEWS1130) – Daniel Sedin scored with just under eight and a half minutes to go in the third period to lift Vancouver past LA 3-1. Roberto Luongo notched his 30th win of the season and 300th of his career.
Luongo made 21 saves, ten of which were in the third period. It is the sixth straight season that Luongo has hit 30 wins.
Daniel Sedin’s goal was his thirty-third of the season, which puts him in a tie with teammate Ryan Kesler and the Chicago’s Patrick Sharp for second in the NHL. Tampa’s Stephen Stamkos leads the league with 41 heading into Saturday night’s game with Montreal.
Jannik Hansen and Alex Burrows with an empty netter had the other Canucks markers.
