DETROIT, MI (NEWS1130) – The Vancouver Canucks will not have winger Mikael Samuelsson in the lineup when they begin their four-game road trip in Detroit tomorrow night.
Canucks’ head coach Alain Vigneault says that Samuelsson has some sort of “lower-body issue.” The Canucks have recalled Victor Oreskovich from Manitoba for Wednesday night’s game against the Red Wings.
Daniel Sedin will be in the lineup tomorrow night after staying in Vancouver for the birth of his third child, a daughter last night. Daniel, who leads the NHL in scoring will fly into Detroit Tuesday night.
Forward Tanner Glass is on the trip but still not practicing due to sore ribs. Roberto Luongo will start in goal.
Faceoff is Wednesday at 4:30 pm.
