Daniel drains a pair for new daughter Anna

DETROIT, MI (NEWS1130) – Daniel Sedin scored both goals in a 2-1 Canucks win over Detroit. Baby Anna’s dad leads the NHL in scoring with 95 points and is second in goals scored with 40.

Anna Sedin was born on Monday. Her father has a nine game point streak, while Uncle Henrik added two assists in the victory.

Ryan Kesler, playing near his hometown of Livonia, Michigan added one assist. Kesler notched seven helpers versus the Wings in four games this season. Roberto Luongo stopped 39 pucks in the Canucks net.

Vancouver has matched it’s highest ever point total with 105. In the Western Conference the Canucks now have a ten point lead on second place Detroit with eight games remaining in the season.  The leader in the Eastern Conference, Philadelphia are eight points back of Vancouver but have two games in hand.
