KENNEWICK, WA (NEWS1130) – The Vancouver are set to face the Tri-City Americans in the playoffs for a second straight year.
The Giants and Americans open the WHL post-season tomorrow night in Kennewick, Washington. The Americans eliminated Vancouver in six games in the Western Conference final last spring.
In four meetings this year, the Giants were 1-3-0-0 and outscored 19-9 in the four games and have not played well at the American’s Honda Center with an all-time record of 8-17.
Vancouver will get another injured player back in time for Friday’s opener. Winger Michael Burns will return after missing two weeks with a concussion. Burns left the ice on a stretcher during a game with Chilliwack back on March 9th, following a hit into the boards by the Bruins’ Tyler Stahl.
Game time tomorrow is 7:05 p.m.
