Giants outgunned by the Americans

KENNEWICK, WA (NEWS1130) – Justin Feser had a goal and two assists as Tri-City edged Vancouver 5-4, to lead their best of seven series 2-0. Nine different players scored in the game.

Giants MVP Brendan Gallagher opened the scoring 24 seconds into the game, but the Americans rattled off three straight goals in the first period and did not relinquish the lead. Michael Burns had a goal and an assist for Vancouver, while teammate Neil Manning added two assists.

Games three and four will be played at the Pacific Coliseum next Tuesday and Wednesday.

In Chilliwack, the Bruins are down 2-0 in their series with Spokane. The Chiefs shutout Chilliwack 5-0.
