Canucks wrap up four game road trip in Nashville

By

NASHVILLE, TN. (NEWS1130) – The Vancouver Canucks can set a franchise record with their ninth straight win on the road when they take on the Predators in Nashville tonight.

The Canucks have the opportunity to split the four-game season series.  The Canucks bested the Predators 2-1 in their first meeting of the season on Jan. 26th, but Nashville responded with two consecutive wins.  One in February and the other in March.

Vancouver is 9-1 in their past 10 games, but Nashville seems to be peaking at just the right time to make a final push toward the post-season.  The Preds are on a six-game winning streak and they have just one loss in their past 10 games.

On the injury front, Mikael Samuelsson practiced yesterday but is not expected to play tonight. Samuelsson has been out the last 11 days with a leg injury and Tanner Glass is not yet ready to play due to a rib injury.

Dan Hamhuis is recovering from his fourth career concussion.  He banged his head on the ice during a collision on Sunday in Columbus and there’s no word how long he’ll be out of the line-up.

Game time is 5 p.m.
