The Canucks hope to recover from back to back losses tonight

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – The Canucks try to snap a two game losing streak when they play host to the Minnesota Wild tonight at Rogers Arena.

Vancouver coming off of back to back losses to the dead-last-in-the-NHL Edmonton Oilers. It’s the sixth and final meeting of the season between the Northwest Division rivals. Minnesota has a shot at a split, despite losing six in Vancouver.

The Canucks could get a big boost on the blueline tonight as Alexander Edler is expected to play after missing 31 games following back surgery. With Dan Hamhuis skating on his own, the second step in the protocol regarding concussions, Hamhuis could play on Saturday, the final regular-season game.

The Wild are banged up with injuries as John Madden, Martin Havlat and Cam Barker are not expected to play tonight.

Goalie Jose Theodore’s sore leg was good enough for him to practice yesterday today. He and Cal Clutterbuck — who also returned to practice — are okay and could play tonight against the Canucks.

Game time is 7 p.m.
