Sexual predator guide pulled from Facebook

By

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – A guide on how to lure young girls into having sex has been taken off of Facebook, but the two young men who put it up aren’t being charged, at least not yet.

Corporal Dan Pollock says the two haven’t done anything illegal, but if someone reads their instructions on how to lure a teenage girl into having sex with them, they could be charged.

“If you have a disclaimer on there, that helps limit their liability, but ultimately, if your message overpowers your disclaimer, you could be held liable.”

Both men are from Castlegar, BC, and city councillor Deb McIntosh says people there can’t believe how many comments on the page were from locals who thought it was funny.

“In my view, this is a manual made for predators, and predators will use it. I feel sick that our locals are subscribing to this.”

McIntosh says the lesson to be learned here is for parents to keep an eye on what their kids are doing on Facebook.
