No expected lineup changes for Game 6

BOSTON (NEWS1130) – The Canucks can win their first ever Stanley Cup Championship with a win tonight in Boston in game six of the Stanley Cup Finals.

Vancouver is leading the series 3-2.

Don’t expect any lineup changes for the Canucks.

Forward Ryan Kesler took the optional game day skate Monday morning in Boston which is a good sign because Kesler did not take part in the Canucks practice on Sunday, he was given a day off to rest bumps and bruises.

21 year old rookie defenseman Chris Tanev will start his second straight game on the blueline while Keith Ballard will watch again from the press box.

The Canucks have to find a way to solve Boston goalie Tim Thomas who has allowed just six goals in five games. The University of Vermont product has a 1.21 GAA and a .964 save percentage in the Stanley Cup Final, yet he’ll need to be sharp again Monday night just to force a Game 7, which would be played Wednesday at Vancouver.

Home teams are 5-0 in this series.  With Vancouver’s win in Game 5, home teams improved to 16-2 in the Stanley Cup Final since 2009.

Game time is 5pm.
