VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Members of the BC Lions are speaking out about violence against women as part of the “Be More Than a Bystander” program.
It’s put on by the province and the Ending Violence Association of BC.
The issue hits close to home for Lions head coach Wally Buono, as he choked up during a press conference .
“Fortunately for me I was old enough that I could deal with it on my mothers behalf and there are times that’s not the case at all.”
The program teaches you how to speak up and how to not allow violence and abuse to continue.
