Two men rescued from capsized catamaran in Lake Ontario

TORONTO, Ont. – Two men had to be rescued Thursday from the choppy waters of Lake Ontario after their catamaran capsized.
Police told 680News the sailors left their yacht club near Ontario Place at around 8 p.m. Wednesday.
When they failed to return, a search and rescue C-30 Hercules aircraft was dispatched from Trenton to help the Toronto Marine Unit.
The aircraft spotted the men about six kilometres offshore in the water next to their overturned boat at around 1 a.m.
Both men are doing fine.
