Semi-final day at the Canadian Little League Championships

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Two locals teams battle in semi-final action today at the Canadian Little League Championships in North Vancouver tonight. The BC champs from Langley are taking on the hosts from Mt. Seymour at 6 p.m.

Langley finished round robin play with a 4-1 record. Their only loss was to 5-0 Ontario. Mt. Seymour finished in third place with a 3-2 record. The two teams met on day one of the tournament with Langley dumping the host squad 10-3.

The other semi-final has undefeated Ontario playing 2-3 Quebec at 3 p.m.

The two semi-final winners will advance to the championship game tomorrow at 1 p.m. at Zuehlke Park with a berth in the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania on the line.

The Atlantic champs will play the Prairies champs today at noon in the fifth and sixth place game.
