Canucks will get plenty of northern exposure

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Fresh off of the seven-game Stanley Cup final run, the Vancouver Canucks will be seen on national TV 25 times this coming season. The balance of the Canucks games will be seen on Rogers Sportsnet.

The Orca Whalers will appear on the CBC 15 times during the regular season, beginning with the season opener on Thursday, October 6 versus Pittsburgh. The remaining CBC dates will be Saturday games, with 11 of those being the final game of the Hockey Night in Canada schedule. The games on December 10 in Ottawa and a week later in Toronto will begin at 4 p.m. local time.

The February 18 game against the Leafs at Rogers Arena will start at the rare time of 4 p.m.

Vancouver will be on the Sports Network 10 times during its weekday schedule.

The regional schedule for the remaining games on Rogers Sportsnet Pacific will be released at a later date.
