VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Woot woot! The picture of me in my jeggings been re-tweeted!
If you have no idea what that means, you can look it up in the latest edition of the concise Oxford English Dictionary.
The 12th edition is out with 400 new entries including ‘jeggings’ (comfortable cotton pants that look like jeans), ‘woot,’ (a celebratory term) and ‘re-tweet’ (when an original tweet – a Twitter post – is posted by another Twitter user).
The definition of the word ‘friend’ is also changing to include ‘a contact on a social networking website.’ Also included are ‘sexting’ — which is a racy text message — and ‘cyberbullying,’ which is online harrassment.
