PORTLAND, OREGON (NEWS1130) – Whitecaps FC are looking to bounce back from a disappointing defeat at DC United last weekend by earning an important road win against one of their Pacific Northwest rivals. Tom Soehn’s squad will face the Timbers at JELD-WEN Field.

Vancouver will showcase an improved attacking performance keen on scoring the game’s first goal to quiet down the home fans. Eric Hassli, Mustapha Jarju, Camilo, and Shea Salinas will play key roles in trying to put the Timbers under pressure.

The ‘Caps are still without striker Atiba Harris.  Last Friday, he underwent successful surgery to his right knee. The operation comes after the experienced attacker had repair surgery to the same knee in April. Russell Teibert is also sidelined with a rib contusion. Defender Alain Rochat is listed as questionable with an adductor strain.

Kick-off is at 7 p.m.
