RICHMOND (NEWS1130) – The parents of a 27-year-old mother of two who went missing last month have come from China to search for their daughter.

Lancy Hu of Coquitlam went missing over a month ago and her husband has changed his story several times about the last time he saw her. He is now saying he last saw her at 5:30 a.m. on July 16 at a home in Coquitlam.

No arrests have been made, but police believe foul play is involved in her disappearance.

Hu’s parents say they didn’t hear their daughter had gone missing until three days later.

Today they issued a tearful plea asking for anyone with information to come forward.

They say their daughter was a vibrant, outgoing person who was a loving mother of her two young sons. Her father says the couple did have their marriage difficulties in the past, but insists his daughter would never leave her two children to go with someone else.

Police say Hu may have left with a black backpack as well as a MacBook, which are considered important clues in Lu’s disappearance.

According to police, Hu doesn’t have a car, and uses public transit to get around. She is Asian, five foot seven and 119 pounds. She has shoulder-length black hair, brown eyes and wears glasses.

Anyone with information regarding the disappearance of Lancy Hu is asked to call the IHIT Tip Line at 1-877-551-IHIT (4448).
