AGASSIZ(NEWS1130)- No luck so far for crews searching for a missing camper in the Agassiz area.
Twenty-seven-year-old Christopher Hannaford from Surrey was last seen with friends on an island near Harrison Mills late Saturday night.
The area where he went missing is a gravel bar approximately 800 meters long and 7 meters wide and is connected to the mainland at the base of Mount Woodside on the South East bank of the Harrison River.
RCMP Corporal Tammy Hollingsworth says an extensive air, ground and water search has turned up nothing. “Family members are extremely concerned for his safety. We’re asking if anyone was in the area on September 3rd and 4th, and if you may have seen Mr. Hannaford, to give us a call.”
Hollingsworth says at this point there’s no indication Hannaford was the victim of a crime.
He’s is described as white, 6’4″ tall, 240 pounds, heavy build, blue eyes, shaved blonde-red hair, and has lots of freckles. He was last seen wearing black track pants, a t-shirt and a pullover sweat shirt.
