Henry gets a handful of assists for Giants in win

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Giants captain James Henry had five assists in a 6-5 win over Everett. Brett Kulak and North Vancouver’s Jackson Houck each had their first ever goals in the Western Hockey League for Vancouver.

The first 40 minutes was very close as each team had 17 shots on goal in a 3-3 game.

The Giants blew open the game in third, with goals by Nathan Burns, Marek Tvrdon and Dalton Olsen. Olsen’s marker was his first in the league. The Silvertips scored two late goals to make the score close.

The 20-year-old Henry tied a club record with his five helpers. He now has a goal and eight assists in three games this season.

Almost 4,600 fans were on hand for Vancouver’s second home win of the season. Don Hay’s crew will play in Kamloops on Friday.
