VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – The new iPhone 4S doesn’t hit the stores for another two days, but many of its features will be available to Apple users, starting today.
iOS 5 is the software underpinning not only the iPhone, but also the iPad, iPad Touch, and Apple TV. It adds a number of features, including notifications; iMessage, which is modeled on RIM’s popular Blackberry Messenger; Twitter integration; Newsstand reminders; and iCloud compatibility.
It will also have a function that allows you to customize the sound your phone makes when you receive a text message.
All Apple users have to do is log onto iTunes for the updates that go live today.
