FRISCO, TX (NEWS1130) – Marvin Chavez and Brek Shea tallied goals for FC Dallas as they cruised to a 2-0 victory over the Vancouver Whitecaps.

For the ‘Caps it was their final road game of the season and the loss drops their record away from Vancouver to 0-12-5, making them the fourth club in MLS history to play an entire season without a road victory.

Marvin Chavez opened the scoring for FC Dallas in the 35th minute when he cut inside of Jay DeMerit and curled a shot to the back post to make it 1-0.

Chavez thought he had made it 2-0 early in the second half but the play was called offside.

Dallas would increase their lead in the 54th minute when a Daniel Hernandez free kick bounced around in the box before falling to the foot of Brock Shea, who volleyed it past Joe Cannon and in.

The loss snaps a two-game win streak for the Whitecaps who beat Real Salt Lake and DC United in back-to-back games.

Vancouver will wrap up their inaugural season at BC Place next Saturday night against the Colorado Rapids.
