RUSKIN (NEWS1130) – People coming in on the West Coast Express had a little bump in their morning commute today.
Drew Snider with TransLink says Train #1 hit and killed a bear in Ruskin.
“The engineer hit the emergency brakes; that caused all the air to come out of the system,” he explains. “It [took] some time for the system to reset, which is why the train was delayed in getting started again.”
It took about a half hour to get the train back up and running. Everything is now back on schedule.
