Small earthquake felt in the Okanagan

OMAK, WA (NEWS1130) – A small earthquake in northern Washington State shook the ground as far north as Kelowna this morning.

The quake had a magnitude of 4.3 and struck just after 5 a.m.

Chris Schmidt is with KOWM radio in Omak, Washington. “One lady said her chandelier came off her ceiling. One person was thrown off the couch at the time of the quake. Books were flying off shelves; all kinds of things like that.”

As expected with a quake this size, there are no reports of injury or damage.
