Social media network helps scratch items off your To-Do list

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – A new social media network that was developed in Vancouver could help you scratch some of the more tedious jobs off your To-Do list.

It’s called Ayoudo and it’s generating a lot of online buzz these days.

The brand new social network’s co-founder Mike Tippett says the site is designed to help you hire someone for any job, big or small.

“If you’re looking to get something done, if you put in at a reasonable price, it’s almost guaranteed you’ll find some good,” he says. “If you’re looking to do work, there is lots of work to be done. It’s working for people on both sides of the equation.”

Tippett explains where the idea came from.

“We thought why don’t we try and build something that’s as easy to use as Twitter, has the security that you get at Ebay… and gives you all the power of Craigslist, so you can go and ask for pretty much anything.”

He adds because you sign in using Facebook, there’s more accountability than on other sites like Craigslist and you can rate your experiences with other users.

Since its launch four weeks ago Tippett says the site has already posted more than $20,000 worth of work and had 100,000 visitors, most of them from the Vancouver area.
