VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Sebastien Le Toux and Camilo scored in each half, as Whitecaps FC opened their second season in MLS with a 2-0 shutout of Montreal. It was the Impact’s first game ever in the league.

The French connection opened the scoring for Vancouver. Alain Rochat and Eric Hassli set up Le Toux in his ‘Caps debut in the fourth minute, Le Toux scoring with his right foot past Montreal goalie Donovan Ricketts.

Camilo with some nifty foot work made it 2-0 Whitecaps in the 54th minute. The Brazilian scored with a left footed shot high to the top left corner of the Impact goal.

Joe Cannon made four saves to earn the shutout in front of a sold out BC Place crowd of 21,000.

Vancouver meets Chivas USA in LA next Saturday.
