NORTH VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – You could turn one into the coolest porch swing on the block!
Mount Seymour is selling 100 individual chairs from the soon-to-be-scrapped Mystery Peak Chairlift.
“They’ve been on Mystery for the last 35 years; they have a lot of history and are a great addition to anybody’s garden, backyard, or even living room!” says Anna Rowinska with the mountain.
They’re taking down the old chairlift to make way for a new one.
The old seats each weigh about 100 lbs. They’re about 110 inches in height, 3.5 feet long and come in black, blue, or grey. They’re being sold for $150 each.
“We will donate $50 from every chair to support inner-city schools. What we’re going to do is create a bursary fund for next season and create an application process where schools can apply,” notes Rowinska.
The first come, first served sell-off will take place on April 18th and 19th from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Guest Services.
