Schneider starts in net, Daniel a game-time decision tonight

By

LOS ANGELES, CA (NEWS1130) – One of the burning questions ahead of the Canucks‘ must-win game tonight against the LA Kings has been answered; the team has announced Cory Schneider will get the start in goal for what is the biggest game of the year.

Schneider was sharp in allowing just one goal in Sunday’s 1-0 loss to the Kings in Game 3 but his starting assignment will surely raise questions about the future of Roberto Luongo in Vancouver.

Daniel Sedin‘s playing status will remain a mystery til shortly before game time. The Canucks have listed their regular season goal leader as a game-time decision.

Daniel had said yesterday he would not play if he was not feeling well. Sedin, out of the lineup since suffering a concussion in Chicago March 21st, took part in today’s very optional game day skate and expects to play unless his headaches return.

With just four goals in the first three games of this series, the Canucks could use any boost that they can get. Teams with a 3-0 lead have won the series 164 of 167 times.

Game time is 7 p.m. News1130 will have game updates every 10 minutes on the fives and goal alerts when they happen. Follow @News1130Sports for up to the minute coverage.
