SAN ANTONIO, TX (NEWS1130) – Canucks’ 2011 first-round draft pick Nicklas Jensen scored a pair of goals in his first AHL playoff appearance, but the Chicago Wolves dropped Game 1 of their best-of-five series 5-4 in overtime.

The Canucks farm-club from Chicago is taking on the San Antonio Rampage in the Eastern Conference Quarterfinal.

The Wolves got on the board first as Bill Sweatt found the back of the net 12:49 into the first period. After San Antonio pulled even, Chicago took the lead back with a goal from Tim Miller and then Jensen scored his first goal of the night to give the Wolves a 3-1 lead through 20 minutes.

The Rampage made it a one-goal game with a tally just over five minutes into the second period, but less than three minutes later with Chicago on a powerplay Jensen buried his second goal of the game.

San Antonio’s Jon Matsumoto scored in the second period before he tied the game at 4-4 in the third.

Colby Robak scored the game-winner for San Antonio on a powerplay 14:16 into overtime.

The two teams will square off in Game 2 of their series on Saturday night.
