VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Daniel Sedin was in good spirits and in good health a day after playing his first game in over three weeks to help the Vancouver Canucks beat the LA Kings 3-1.
“If we keep playing that way, I like our chances,” said Sedin, following an optional skate today. Daniel, who logged almost 20 minutes of ice time adds he felt the series changed with the Canucks effort last night, and he also feels a little tired but has no headaches. Wednesday’s victory in Los Angeles was Sedin’s first game since suffering a concussion in Chicago on March 21st.
Canucks Assistant Coach Rick Bowness also addressed the media today. He wouldn’t comment on whether there will be any line-up changes for Sunday’s Game 5, but says the team enjoyed the win for about 10 minutes and are now focused on Sunday.
The NHL has not released the game time for Game 5. It is believed the league is waiting to see how many teams are still remaining from the first round. The Canucks and Kings could be bumped to an early afternoon face-off.
